So here is my promised post about my sea creature I caught. It was an Aplysia Morio or more commonly known as a Black Sea Hare. It is a type of sea slug that is found on the coast of Florida and I believe California. I'm not sure if it is found anywhere else my guess would say it probably is. My buddy Mike (check out is blog Wunderkraut.com) saw in the water first....so I picked it up. Let me tell you, it is extremely slimy and when threatened folds its wings up and squirts ink at you. The ink is toxic and can blind its predators if it gets their eyes. From what I have read though, the ink can not hurt humans. So, we put in a bucket for a while and watched unfold its wings and try to swim....and then like the good animal lover I am... did the right thing and let it go.
Here are the pictures below....one is mine and one is an Internet photo.

God is so prolific! And it's like He equipped all His creations to play in this big game of rock, paper, scissors.
Ink spray beats razor sharp fangs!
