Forehead for President

An Average Forehead for an Average America

To my many readers, I am choosing this website to officially enter my forehead in for the presidential election. After seeing Wunderkraut and Crotalus, enter their foreheads I felt it was my social responsibility to give all of you a choice in the type of forehead you want running this country. As you can tell by the size of my opponents foreheads, they don't care much for normal foreheads. Yes, they may tell you they do, but all they care about is padding the pockets of their own kind. I on the other hand, am for the average person. The ones who are like most of us....just barely getting by with our normal sized heads. They may tell you that they are smarter with a bigger forehead, or that they have a bigger brain. I feel it is my responsibility to let you know that those statements are all false. Studies have shown bigger foreheads do not produce bigger brains, but bigger bone mass. Or in laymen terms, thicker skulls. Now my question is, is that who you want running your country? I mean if my opponents can't even keep hair on their own head, how do you expect them to keep this country safe. Wouldn't you rather have an average sized forehead run this country? A forehead that most of America can relate to. A forehead that understands you and knows what you go through. A forehead that cares. That is why I am entering my forehead, and that is why it will be the next president of this United States!

Snake

On Saturday, we helped clear land at our church. While we were there our Pastor found a snake. It was a about a 3 foot rat snake. Believe it or not, this was really exciting for me. I know you may be wondering why this would be so exciting to me. The short answer is fear. I will be writing another post soon on the subject of fear and how it completely crippled my life for years, but for now I will just give you the highlights. I missed out on a lot in my childhood because of fear. So now that I do not struggle with fear anymore, I have made a mental list of things I want to do in my life time. Most of the things are things that I would have been afraid of in my past. One was to catch a snake out in the wild. So I seized the moment, got a broken hoe and held the head down and picked up the snake. Believe me I know it sounds silly with me being 29...I even feel silly writing it, but it was a really big deal for me yesterday. Joanna was awesome. She was just as excited for me. I have an awesome wife and she 100% supports me in my dreams and wants me to fulfill all of them no matter how minor some of them are. Mike was great yesterday also. He has been catching snakes since he was ten, but instead of picking on me, he knows what I have come out of fear wise and was so excited for me as well. Anyway, her are the pictures of the snake handling.

Back From Florida

As stated in my last post, Joanna and I went to Lakeland, Florida.  We had an amazing time.  The meetings down there are not like anything we have ever been in.  We feel it is so important to be part of what God is doing. And He is moving powerfully in Lakeland. So we are going to try to go back on the Fourth of July.  I encourage all of you who read this to go there it is truly an awesome atmosphere.

On Saturday, We decided to go find a beach. We ended up finding a place called Longboat Key. We were not sure what it was going to be like, but when we got there we quickly realized we had just found our new beach vacation spot.  This place was awesome.  The water was a gorgeous color and was unbelievably clear.  I swam in it and realized there were some good sized fish in there ( around 12 to 13 inches).  Then all of a sudden, a five foot fish swam by my leg. It startled me at first because I thought it was a shark. When I saw it again I realized it was just a really big fish. I tried to look it up, but I couldn't figure out what it was. It could have been a barracuda, but I just don't know. The pictures below don't do this place justice.  It was the prettiest beach I have ever seen.  Anyway, that was our weekend...we had a blast.

So I have been on the Internet long enough for most of my traffic to come from Google images. This means that absolutely nobody I know reads this site anymore, but I am still serving a purpose by providing pictures to people all over the world. So what is the number one image on my site that people look out..... This one it is a picture of a plasma screen television. Evidently, quite a number of people look for pictures of plasma screen TVs. Anyway, I thought it was cool that I am providing some form of service by having this site.

For those that may actually read this blog. Joanna and myself are heading back to Lakeland, FL tomorrow for one night. We will have more pictures and stories when we get back.

Month of May

Yes, we know we skipped a whole month of posting.  It was a pretty busy month of May. For those that don't know, Joanna and myself were able to go on a much needed vacation to Saint Augustine, FL to celebrate our 6th anniversary.  So, the first weekend in May, off we went, but not before I played in the Urban Mission Golf Tournament. It was another great tournament and Dad and I actually won something this year. So, the next day we got up early and headed to Florida.   We were able to stay at a bed and breakfast called the Centennial House.  Our room was called the Gentleman's Quarters.   It was at a great location in old town, within walking distance of everything.

We toured Flagler College,  went to Ripley's Believe It or Not, and of course ate some great seafood.

                           Before

                            After

One of the biggest highlights was our visit to the World Golf Hall of Fame.

Check out some more pictures of our trip.

Next in May, I  was off to the men's retreat.  I had a great time, and got to play golf again.  The meetings were great and the worship was incredible.  Looking forward to next year.

Our Next stop was Lakeland, Fl.
If you haven't heard,  there is an amazing revival going on in Lakeland.  Todd Bentley went to speak at a five day conference and it has now lasted over two months.  I encourage you to check it out.  You can watch it every night at 7 PM on www.god.tv. It's pretty amazing.  God is doing so many miracles, people are coming from all over the world. They are now filling a tent seating 10,000.  We can't wait for our next trip down.  You can check out a video of our time down there here.

We got back from Lakeland and before unpacking we became "mom and dad" to five of the Collins kids.  Hannah Cate is in the hospital with very low white cell counts.  She is in a lot of pain. Please be praying for her and that she and Keleigh will be coming home soon.

So, as you can see it was a very busy month for us. We still have the little Collins kid with us,
but things are starting to settle down for us.
